This is a totally different blog post for today. Today I’m going in and going to share the process of self-love.
Here recently I haven’t been posting as much as I would like, the main reason behind that is my family life and my personal life. I’m not going to go into details, however, I will say that today’s post is heavily inspired by the struggles and the accomplishments of my life thus far.
This story starts out ten years ago, where a sad little girl lives in a small town and fears the future. She’s afraid that she’s not smart enough to handle the world, that she’s not pretty enough to gain the attention of anyone important, and that she’s not important enough be cared for. It was a dark time for this little girl.
Fast forward seven years later, that young girl is still lonely. The issues that have plagued her youth are robbing her of her teenage years. She would cling to friends, she would bend over backward to be liked, and when she received a compliment, the little voice in her head told her that they were lying just to be nice.
Something happened, though. At the time tragic, looking back, a miracle. Her last friend abandoned her when she needed him. There is no more to say on the subject – however, the effect of no longer having a close friend, of feeling alone when she was in a room full of people – was too much for her to handle.
She read books, she watched movies and television, she saw characters in similar predicaments and how they pulled themselves out of their slump.
So that’s what she did.
